It started life as a much larger piece, 12 x 12 I think, and this was part of what was left. I can't even remember if I used sprays or ink pads to colour it. I embossed it with a snowflake folder by Lisa Horton then gently went over it with a neutral wax to add extra shine. The 'let it snow' is a Stamplorations die and the snowflake is Sizzix. At last a card that isn't Christmas, Yay! I sent this to a friend for her birthday - I love this bird stamp, it comes from a fabulous set from Pink Ink called Crazy Birds.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYtHTJLu-a4g-oau-5Yuv90_W3tQ1R3sdnWZRsr3LhTixL_RLa5SUlCAg9F-OcYVQLwKcDruN1n_UbOgVcGAHioIB4DkzwwNVGNYYCiXYhSM3JE8xlLBYULgNf4Mk4OGt5sO3J9pmM9D6e0IF3008aFdCF1rIjH59UBGdfLN-SFY9ZW4PKcbPEQZgw/s4128/20220423_151408.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4128" data-original-width="3096" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYtHTJLu-a4g-oau-5Yuv90_W3tQ1R3sdnWZRsr3LhTixL_RLa5SUlCAg9F-OcYVQLwKcDruN1n_UbOgVcGAHioIB4DkzwwNVGNYYCiXYhSM3JE8xlLBYULgNf4Mk4OGt5sO3J9pmM9D6e0IF3008aFdCF1rIjH59UBGdfLN-SFY9ZW4PKcbPEQZgw/w300-h400/20220423_151408.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>I used watercolour card for the panel and stamped the crazy bird in Versafine Clair Nocturne and embossed with clear powder. The watercolouring is done with Distress Ink. The sentiment is from the same set and again I stamped and embossed with Versafine Clair on snippets of watercolour card. The dangles are from a Lavinia Stamp set and are stamped with Versafine Clair inks. I popped some glossy accents on her eye and added some glitter here and there for sparkle along with coordinating splatters.</p><p>I would like to enter the following challenges:-</p><p><a href="http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.com/2022/04/week-673-i-spy-something-beginning-with.html">Allsorts Challenge</a> - I spy something beginning with 'B' - Bird.<br /></p><p><a href="https://www.welovestamping.co.uk/2022/04/april-stamp-of-moment.html">We Love Stamping</a> - Favourite Stamp - This crazy bird is definitely my favourite at the moment!<br /></p><p><a href="http://sirstampalotchallenge.blogspot.com/2022/04/april-i-love.html">Stamping Sensations</a> - I Love - I love this bird, I love pink and purple, I love watercolouring and I love being crazy!!!<br /></p><p><a href="https://pixiessnippetsplayground.blogspot.com/2022/04/challenge-426.html">Snippets Playground</a> - Use Snippets - the sentiment is made up of snippets of card.<br /></p><p>Thank you again for visiting me. I cut it out of a snippet of white glitter card and glued it on a piece of patterned paper from Starry Nights by Leska Hamaty which I cut out using a die from Julie Hickey Rectangle Layers, Frames and Banners. I then added the Santa and Sleigh stamp from Angela Poole. I stamped using Versafine Clair Nocturne then glued to a white side fold card base and added some stickles for extra sparkle. The whole thing is really sparkly in real life. I have made another one like this and may make a couple more as I have some more paper and more snippets of various white glitter card from many years ago! </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I would like to enter the following challenges:</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="https://pixiessnippetsplayground.blogspot.com/2022/02/challenge-422.html">Di's Snippets Playground</a> - Use Snippets.<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="https://scrapsoflifebyscrappymo.blogspot.com/2022/02/february-rudolph-days-challenge.html">Rudolphs Day Challenge</a> - Christmas.<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="https://mynbus.blogspot.com/2022/02/nbus-challenge-35.html">Darnell's NBUS</a> - Never before used schtuff - Merry Christmas die.<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I had my second cataract operation last week which is cool, so in about a month or so I should have glasses again at last and will be able to see a lot better! Thank you so much for visiting me - I have been absent for ages. Last year I sent absolutely no handmade Christmas cards to anyone (hangs head in shame). I just about managed all the birthday cards but this year I am determined to do better. So, my first post of the year is a Christmas Card, Yay! I actually made four cards in two different colourways.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjzkdOmTiT0sLfePJbA7wyMK287APT_DztdaiKAv8O5fZ9LkNEfvDZoydsKeiFRB3OwZVID0D6BZO634NU-wnhnqAbmSBFyusU0Zg5AIVj7t66L6AF0w8Gd99QL4sCpTCCc-lPq0ADNaAv-TxsFVkxrn1AuCe1b_t2dU7DUnrkMQFDnWReX2x6KyWYY=s4128" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4128" data-original-width="3096" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjzkdOmTiT0sLfePJbA7wyMK287APT_DztdaiKAv8O5fZ9LkNEfvDZoydsKeiFRB3OwZVID0D6BZO634NU-wnhnqAbmSBFyusU0Zg5AIVj7t66L6AF0w8Gd99QL4sCpTCCc-lPq0ADNaAv-TxsFVkxrn1AuCe1b_t2dU7DUnrkMQFDnWReX2x6KyWYY=w300-h400" width="300" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;">I made this card especially for Di's special <a href="http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/2021/12/pixies-snippets-playground-challenge_0458224053.html">Christmas and New Year Snippets Playground</a>. I used an old, but never before inked, Woodware stamp set BD23 2DE. I used up the teeniest of snippets for each little piece of the Christmas tree and pot - I keep all the little pieces left over from projects with the relevant paper pad - I can't bear to throw them away incase I need them. The tree in the stamp set comes in the separate pieces which is just perfect for the snippets and I stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne and embossed with clear powder. Then fussy cut them out. I didn't keep the bits left after that - they were too small even for me to keep! The sentiment is from Creative Expressions clear stamp set O Christmas Tree which I stamped with the Versafine Clair Nocturne on Snippets of white card this time, cut out and edged with a Promarker. The background is a piece of white card embossed with a</div><div style="text-align: left;">Sue Wilson Falling Snow embossing folder again edged with a Promarker and glued to a 5 x 7 card blank. The star is cut from a die with another snippet of paper and I added Glossy Accents and glitter to it. There is also glitter on the background - unfortunately the glitter doesn't show up too well at all but its lovely and sparkly in real life.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">As well as <a href="http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/2021/12/pixies-snippets-playground-challenge_0458224053.html">Pixies Snippets Playground</a> I would like to enter the following challenges:</div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="https://mynbus.blogspot.com/2022/01/nbus-challenge-34.html">Darnell's NBUS Challenge</a> - Never Before Used Schtuff - mine is the Woodware stamp set I used for the Christmas tree and pot.<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://timeoutchallenges.blogspot.com/2021/12/challenge-204-new.html">Time Out Challenges</a> - New - my new is using the stampset for the first time and making my very first cards of the New Year!<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I hope you are doing ok and coping as well as you can with the rising cases of Covid during this worrying time of the new variant. I have had my booster but am still mainly staying at home as I have my second cataract op at the beginning of February (assuming its not cancelled due to the difficult time the NHS is having at the mo). I can't wait to have it done - the eye I have had done is so much better but I still need glasses, which I can't have until after the second eye is done and healed - so things are still tricky at the mo. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Anyway, thank you again for visiting me and stay safe and take care. Thank you for visiting me - Its a long time since my last post, so sorry! I have my first cataract operation the week after next so hopefully that will be the beginning of things being easier on the vision front and I will be able to blog a bit more. Today is a card I actually made for my sister's birthday last year - she loves dogs.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKzx-3YUVCWUx8f7HelKYh8ZK7-4s7-QhwfTCGKa6Ht49wDEGE-XpmCECwOuLnlZPurEPJw0dM_XuZZGWDGsbMIJUmyFJ5RSojpOdMSDRJq491XYfGgCFaFOm7GRT4ccTwkKiRLEw7vTc/s2048/20201008_160735.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiKzx-3YUVCWUx8f7HelKYh8ZK7-4s7-QhwfTCGKa6Ht49wDEGE-XpmCECwOuLnlZPurEPJw0dM_XuZZGWDGsbMIJUmyFJ5RSojpOdMSDRJq491XYfGgCFaFOm7GRT4ccTwkKiRLEw7vTc/w300-h400/20201008_160735.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;">I love these Aall and Create Dog stamps, they have so much personality. My card today is in honour of <a href="http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.com/2021/05/week-625-our-12th-birthday-anything.html">Allsorts Challenge Blog</a> 12th birthday - congratulations to everyone at Allsorts!</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgg8WWYueqt-MTCuU6HzO3MNlzJasVomUaXvEf9yHRwgtjdAuL5US4sH6BeV_pTlHUAPtLfxFUd8PJzPtGE6QfwvxbjSByfN3Op3PWVkfYa0wQcxn-3w3tMfOggjjvH-y-ep7KDnoolr1k/s2048/20210517_112116.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgg8WWYueqt-MTCuU6HzO3MNlzJasVomUaXvEf9yHRwgtjdAuL5US4sH6BeV_pTlHUAPtLfxFUd8PJzPtGE6QfwvxbjSByfN3Op3PWVkfYa0wQcxn-3w3tMfOggjjvH-y-ep7KDnoolr1k/w300-h400/20210517_112116.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;">The background is inked with Distress Inks then I stamped the awesome butterfly from Honeydoo Stamps, with Versafine clair and embossed with clear powder heating from the back so the embossing was really smooth. The sentiment, which came from the same stamp set, was stamped on snippets of white card then attached to the panel. The black frames I drew around the sentiments are there because of a mishap! The glue for the top sentiment splurged out and when I tried to remove it, I ripped the top layer of card - oops! So I managed to move the sentiment up a little but then you could see the dried on glue so I added the frames. I don't usually have this trouble and use a really good dries clear PVA - it was just one of those days. I layered onto a thin black panel and then a white 6 inch square card base and job done. A simple but effective card I think.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I would like to enter the following challenges:</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.com/2021/05/week-625-our-12th-birthday-anything.html">Allsorts Challenge Blog</a> - Anything Goes With Bright and Happy Colours.<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="https://www.welovechocolatebaroque.uk/2021/05/may-bright-sunny-colours-and-could-you.html">We Love Chocolate Baroque</a> - Bright and Sunny Colours.<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/2021/05/pixies-snippets-playground-challenge-403.html">Pixie's Snippets Playground</a> - Use Snippets.<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="https://mynbus.blogspot.com/2021/05/nbus-challenge-26.html">Darnell's NBUS Challenge</a> - Use Never Before Used Schtuff.<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Thank you again for visiting me and take care. This is my first post for over a month - I am not doing too well at keeping up. Thank you so much for visiting me! My card today is featuring a gorgeous image from a wonderfui stamp set by Tracy Evans for Aall and Create called 'Through the Meadows'. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIa3XRquxvwDjyZ_xHA_6GZraYfMIT1sqFb4WRYNxf6r4xXXJOpyPinc0IpJ92eAntHdBp0OX36GL5sCbDgbhSBFQohaFHvo1uT4VkMAXIQrw5ZQ_kvAVVvl9Tb9IVcYQNX_fGpLowq3A/s2048/Butterfly+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIa3XRquxvwDjyZ_xHA_6GZraYfMIT1sqFb4WRYNxf6r4xXXJOpyPinc0IpJ92eAntHdBp0OX36GL5sCbDgbhSBFQohaFHvo1uT4VkMAXIQrw5ZQ_kvAVVvl9Tb9IVcYQNX_fGpLowq3A/w300-h400/Butterfly+1.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">It is the first time I have used this set and I will be using it much more I am sure - it has three lovely large images and sentiments included in the fabulous A4 set. I stamped the image in nocturne Versafine Clair then embossed with clear powder. I watercoloured most of the circles using pink and blue Distress Oxides in a couple of shades each for depth then went round the edges of the circles with a blue watercolour pencil and water for shading. I added some white Posca pen to each circle too. The butterfly was stamped and embossed two extra times on snippets of white card and fussy cut out and both were glued on the original butterfly with Pinflair Glue Gel for dimension. You can see the layers below.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibZbFq2ecDv1Kr_nBb_zniF9uQX8SfKHiwrfMf5MbJ5XQ9UXxbWNJWxZQm_se_sI-mbjUv055vCXqojoFvkdykPspfpaE7XImoaOynJvvIGNbAq_GJd9jcPs5sjOaeUSIc9vKa2uZPSjI/s2048/Butterfly+Dimension.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibZbFq2ecDv1Kr_nBb_zniF9uQX8SfKHiwrfMf5MbJ5XQ9UXxbWNJWxZQm_se_sI-mbjUv055vCXqojoFvkdykPspfpaE7XImoaOynJvvIGNbAq_GJd9jcPs5sjOaeUSIc9vKa2uZPSjI/s320/Butterfly+Dimension.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"> The word 'butterfly' is also on the stamp set and I stamped it on another snippet of white card, cut it out, edged it with pink Distress Oxide and glued it flat onto the panel. I added splatters in blue and pink ink along with splatters in white Posca pen and the butterfly has lots of sparkle which I don't think you can see in the photos. The panel is cut out with a Slimline die by Lisa Horton and is glued to a DL black card base that I made myself.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I have made another card similar to this one where the background is white and the butterfly is coloured. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I would like to enter the following challenges:</div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/2021/04/pixies-snippets-playground-challenge-400.html">Pixie's Snippets Playgound</a> - Use Snippets.<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="https://mynbus.blogspot.com/2021/04/nbus-challenge-25.html">Darnell's NBUS Challenge</a> - Never Before Used Schtuff.<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.com/2021/04/week-619-butterflies-birds-and-bees.html">Allsorts Challenge Blog</a> - Butterflies, Birds and Bees.<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I hope you are doing ok and have had, or will have shortly, your covid jab. All stamps and stencils are from Aall and Create. The girls, fairy, stall, open sign, pen pot, paints and make things sign were all stamped on snippets of left over white card with Versafine Clair nocturne, embossed with clear powder, coloured with Promarkers then fussy cut out The letters, number and little scalloped circles are die cut. The circles and stars from snippets of white card coloured with Promarkers and the letters from snippets of black card. I then made a pink card blank to attach the finished panel to. I couldn't resist adding glossy accents to the eyes and of course dotted some glitter about for sparkle.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I would like to enter the following challenges:</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/2021/02/pixies-snippets-playground-challenge-397.html">Pixies Snippet's Playground</a> - Use Snippets.<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.com/2021/02/week-613-feminine.html">Allsorts Challenge Blog</a> - Feminine,<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="https://timeoutchallenges.blogspot.com/2021/02/challenge-182.html">Time Out Challenges</a> - Celebrate Time Out's 7th Birthday! Here is the Valentine's Day card I made for my wonderful husband.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7Uv63DisDvQBN23-LSiNhY8IfUe6JNgxPGNOY_1sbblTzgkpF4Su1qpS60k5Jodc4d1E3aWh56AddtXdlVkdJ4wSBV9cY7fX85fNuBT43r-nxK1Y3QJai_7PpDpzIyM3ic1JxCQxT_uw/s2048/Valentines+Day+2021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7Uv63DisDvQBN23-LSiNhY8IfUe6JNgxPGNOY_1sbblTzgkpF4Su1qpS60k5Jodc4d1E3aWh56AddtXdlVkdJ4wSBV9cY7fX85fNuBT43r-nxK1Y3QJai_7PpDpzIyM3ic1JxCQxT_uw/w300-h400/Valentines+Day+2021.jpg" width="300" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">The cute Narwhal along with the bubbles and sentiment, are all from a stamp and die set by Sizzix, which I picked up very cheaply in a sale, lucky me!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I first inked through Craft Emotions wave stencil with a blue ink. Then I cut out, using snippets of white card, the images and sentiment, stamped and embossed them with Versafine Clair Nocturne and clear powder then coloured the Narwhal and bubbles with Pro Markers. I have to admit I over embossed the sentiment but instead of doing it again, I went over the flat areas with a Gelly Roll Clear sparkle pen which looks cool. I added the same pen to the bubbles and the heart flipper along with Glossy Accents to the horn and hearts. I cut the panel out using the new Tim Holtz Deckle Edge trimmer and made my own red card base. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I would like to enter the following challenges:</div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/2021/02/pixies-snippets-playground-challenge.html">Pixie's Snippets Playground</a> - Use Snippets<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.com/2021/02/week-611-masculine.html">Allsorts Challenge Blog</a> - Masculine.<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="https://mynbus.blogspot.com/2021/02/nbus-challenge-23.html">Darnell's NBUS Challenge</a> - Never Before Used Schtuff - mine is the Love You Tons Stamp and Die set. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Thank you again for visiting me and take care and stay safe!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Hugs Christine xxx</div>Craftychrishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10609337677149787446noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7114932997018916161.post-39265056289620587112021-01-22T23:34:00.000+00:002021-01-22T23:34:57.753+00:00Happy 60th Birthday!<p> Hello and thank you so much for visiting me. Here is a card I made for a friends 60th Birthday.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWigRnB8Td8CB7OFCwZOzUy9mwvL_1hlI5Fg0ojs1B6AHeyf5R9154VvqqUFNkwOjHNmHlC5jnGe2FiA4gKGHiWwaHuhj2PXWqg1dd3xiYINgwm6bCwDWCkZDr9ZAYQDVMJR2di3-fA08/s1280/Julie+2020.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="1280" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWigRnB8Td8CB7OFCwZOzUy9mwvL_1hlI5Fg0ojs1B6AHeyf5R9154VvqqUFNkwOjHNmHlC5jnGe2FiA4gKGHiWwaHuhj2PXWqg1dd3xiYINgwm6bCwDWCkZDr9ZAYQDVMJR2di3-fA08/w400-h300/Julie+2020.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">The main image - the gorgeous flower wreath - is from a set called Fragrant Sun from </div><div style="text-align: left;">Honey Doo Crafts. I stamped it in Nocturn Versafine Clair and embossed it with clear powder and coloured it in with Sentimentally Yours watercolour pens. I stamped a tiny part of the image in each corner to add interest. The sentiment is from various stamps in my stash with the '60' being cut using number dies. The sentiment circle and numbers are cut using snippets of white card with the numbers being coloured using the same colour as the pink flowers - as is the pink mat. Finished off with glitter dotted about for sparkle. I adore this stamp. Its quite a recent addition to my stash and I think its become a firm favourite - I can imagine it done in all sorts of colour combos for many occasions.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I would like to enter the following challenges.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/2021/01/pixies-snippets-playground-challenge-394.html">Pixie's Snippets Playground</a> - Use Snippets.<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="https://www.welovechocolatebaroque.uk/2021/01/january-feminine.html">We Love Chocolate Baroque</a> - Feminine.<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://sirstampalotchallenge.blogspot.com/2021/01/january-favourite-stamps.html">Stamping Sensations</a> - Favourite Stamps.<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="https://mynbus.blogspot.com/2021/01/nbus-challenge-22-and-happy-new-year.html">Darnell's NBUS Challenge</a> - Never Before Used Schtuff.<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I hope you are keeping well and coping ok with whatever restrictions you have where you are. I have a Christmas card today - in fact it is the Christmas card I made for my husband, Darren.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtzn-mwri8G-6FaPPRS-YdjchBB6ZYijnh4OAO0E29gUuaSBO2bPKpqmM72SxGW4q_zJiJBJeXxbhuA8xB5VOQ6dC9zGB1P5CqipXV4JFC5PGks-1DRcytTO5oPnfamqkp8E8sLwdugvA/s1280/2020-8.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="1280" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgtzn-mwri8G-6FaPPRS-YdjchBB6ZYijnh4OAO0E29gUuaSBO2bPKpqmM72SxGW4q_zJiJBJeXxbhuA8xB5VOQ6dC9zGB1P5CqipXV4JFC5PGks-1DRcytTO5oPnfamqkp8E8sLwdugvA/w400-h300/2020-8.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;">The gnomes are from Two Jay's Stamp Company and were stamped and embossed on snippets of white card, coloured with Sentimentally Yours watercolour pens, fussy cut out then glued inside the wonderful Lavinia wreath which was stamped in nocturn Versafine Clair in first and second generation ink. The additional little stamps are from the same Lavinia set except the snowflakes which are a separate Lavinia set of just snowflakes. The Heart is from a Sizzix die set and is cut from a snippet of red card and the hanger is a snippet of white card cut to fit. then coloured in. There is Glossy Accents on the darker berries on the wreath, the heart, the hats, the buttons and the boots. Red stickles in the centre of the snowflakes and glitter everywhere! The fur on the gnomes hats is actually dries white glue with added glitter. The card is a 7 x 7 inch with mats cut with dies. It's not a card from me today - its advent calendars I made for my Granddaughters Freya and Millie. Well, I said made I actually decorated the 25 drawer wooden units that I bought quite cheaply from The Works.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYUdh1moMlJJZsfQN-TBN8ZN1C30GmLk_SbBYeloh5nLn9HDKS0r9irP_tYY-RgltkqEZ_6ocnbq4yE6Bvs0HsJx3rYGdRnNNCauFkViR-0C4vvG0lHSQUxQoZQOgPwgeCmMD63hJJcUQ/s2048/20201101_184341.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYUdh1moMlJJZsfQN-TBN8ZN1C30GmLk_SbBYeloh5nLn9HDKS0r9irP_tYY-RgltkqEZ_6ocnbq4yE6Bvs0HsJx3rYGdRnNNCauFkViR-0C4vvG0lHSQUxQoZQOgPwgeCmMD63hJJcUQ/w400-h300/20201101_184341.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;">I left the actual units in the plain wood. I sanded the finger holes just to make sure there were no sharp edges for little fingers to catch on then I primed with Gesso and painted with different colour acrylic paints. Then I used a few ready made embellishments but mostly lots and lots of snippets of card and paper die cut from all the smaller sized Christmas dies I have together with numbers and scalloped circles. I glued everything on with matt medium going over everything with matt medium to give it extra strength. Then oodles of Stickles glitter glue was added to every drawer for lots of sparkle. When everything was good and dry, I topped it all off with a coat of Glossy Mod Podge to seal and protect. I want them to last year after year. I filled the drawers with chocolates, gifts, large Christmas sequins and other bits and bobs all wrapped up in tissue paper.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I have to say, they are going down really well!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I would like to enter the following challenges:</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://countryviewchallenges.blogspot.com/2020/12/december-2020-anything-christmas.html">Country View Challenges</a> - Anything Christmas.<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://christmascardsallyearround.blogspot.com/2020/12/december-challenge-gifts-or-something.html">Christmas Crafts All Year Round</a> - Gifts or something to put gifts in.<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.com/2020/12/week-6034-sparkle-and-shine.html">Allsorts Challenge Blog</a> - Sparkle and Shine.<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Thank you again for visiting me. I have a Christmas card today and it is the first one I have made this year. The time has gone by so quickly I can hardly believe its December next month.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEju8Qd9HQSjAQSIsMH28SkgzPnD6kf0Ncom16LxoGigkkCDLq4WSXNlyBIN9AXSxT4EuYulhffEEs7m6a8zxA1Of1oAYWGJFE8WhgdVTh9TOHZ0cfdPPNQR-CrhZVY-7HCnXJJBGfme9Fs/s1280/Oh+Christmas+Tree.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="960" data-original-width="1280" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEju8Qd9HQSjAQSIsMH28SkgzPnD6kf0Ncom16LxoGigkkCDLq4WSXNlyBIN9AXSxT4EuYulhffEEs7m6a8zxA1Of1oAYWGJFE8WhgdVTh9TOHZ0cfdPPNQR-CrhZVY-7HCnXJJBGfme9Fs/w400-h300/Oh+Christmas+Tree.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br /><p>I used a clear stamp set called O Christmas Tree by Creative Expressions. I bought it in an online sale very cheaply recently and I love it! It cried out for snippets of left over patterned paper and fussy cutting. I stamped the trees and pots in Nocturne Versafine Clair on leftover pieces of patterned paper - the starry paper is Lily of the Valley - I treasure my pads of their paper and keep every snippet as they only do digital paper now. The pots I am not sure which paper pad the snippets are from. The tree stumps are stamped on snippets of white card and stamped with Distress Oxide - I think I used Frayed Burlap. When they were all stamped, I fussy cut them out and glued them onto a white panel then used my Misti to stamp the stars and sentiment in the correct places, I used Versafine Clair Glamorous. Everything is from the same stamp set. Then I got my quickie glue pen and glitter and added oodles of sparkle to the whole card - well it is a Christmas card! The panel was then added to a card base. I was going to make a coloured card base but changed my mind and went with white.</p><div style="text-align: left;">I would like to enter the following challenges:</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/2020/11/pixies-snippets-playground-challenge-390.html">Pixie's Snippets Playground</a> - Use Snippets<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="https://mynbus.blogspot.com/2020/11/nbus-challenge-20.html">Darnell's NBUS Challenge</a> - Never Before Used Schtuff<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="https://timeoutchallenges.blogspot.com/2020/11/challenge-175.html">Time Out Challenges</a> - Quick - I can't believe how quickly December and Christmas have come around!<br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Thank you again for visiting me.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Take care and stay safe! A bright and cheerful card today.</p><p>The flower and butterfly stamps are from Sentimentally Yours and were stamped in black Versafine Clair and embossed with clear powder. The butterfly is stamped on a snippet of card as well as the panel then glued on top of the stamped image. The colouring is done with Sentimentally Yours Watercolour brush pens and the die which looks like wood along with the 'Hi', are from a set by Waffle Flower called Message Boards. They were cut from snippets of card. I added lots of stickles for sparkle.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmHDmnKaQi_uuZvVtnHk105dDZT21ZTcHqfmpV_eehieXKWravZGKE-yA7hK_J8UFX4_iHRwype77RYgzx_814tfbvgxf9SGQw9jkrXXVPtqO53yOtr5eQSsy6OtsA8zeXi7hDLHQIXgE/s1280/Hi.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="960" height="414" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmHDmnKaQi_uuZvVtnHk105dDZT21ZTcHqfmpV_eehieXKWravZGKE-yA7hK_J8UFX4_iHRwype77RYgzx_814tfbvgxf9SGQw9jkrXXVPtqO53yOtr5eQSsy6OtsA8zeXi7hDLHQIXgE/w311-h414/Hi.JPG" width="311" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>I would like to enter the following challenges:</p><p><a href="http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/2020/10/pixies-snippets-playground-challenge-388.html">Pixies's Snippets playground</a> - Use Snippets.<br /></p><p><a href="https://mynbus.blogspot.com/2020/10/nbus-challenge-19.html">Darnell's NBUS Challenge</a> - Never Before Used Schtuff - Mine are the flower, butterfly and Message Board die set.<br /></p><p><a href="http://theflowerchallenge.blogspot.com/2020/10/the-flower-challenge-49-circlecircles.html">The Flower Challenge</a> - Circle/Circles - There are circles in my flowers.<br /></p><p><a href="https://www.welovechocolatebaroque.uk/2020/10/october-challenge.html">We Love Chocolate Baroque</a> - Anything Goes.<br /></p><p><a href="http://mmmchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2020/10/133-orange-as-dominant-colour.html">Make my Monday Challenge</a> - Orange as dominant colour.<br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Well, it looks like the Covid numbers are going up here in the UK. I think at the moment we could all do with a little tipple the way things are going with the virus! Here is a card I made for a friend's 60th birthday earlier in the year.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLtPyhIPkOe2QfKOCYOmfccXk7NjZ1vf4LYS63mvsLZuf-cPCPVadSkge7iDIaS5784KTN_YILx6nh_urOWe8uzdqvzMcml1qnnubCCpy25ezVUzCoT9Y77RAeS9i3LLoYw6VHBbxssgw/s2048/Lynne+next+door+2020.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="292" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLtPyhIPkOe2QfKOCYOmfccXk7NjZ1vf4LYS63mvsLZuf-cPCPVadSkge7iDIaS5784KTN_YILx6nh_urOWe8uzdqvzMcml1qnnubCCpy25ezVUzCoT9Y77RAeS9i3LLoYw6VHBbxssgw/w389-h292/Lynne+next+door+2020.JPG" width="389" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>I began by making the background by blending Distress Oxides and added a bit of stamping too. The glasses and contents were all cut with snippets of white card from a die set by Sue Wilson. The '60' is from a die set from The Works and I cannot remember the make of the Cheers die. I embossed my inked 'drinks' with a folder called Waterfall by Couture Creations and added Stickles glitter glue for sparkle. I think the effect looks like bubbles. <div><br /></div><div>I would like to enter the following challenges:</div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.com/2020/09/pixies-snippets-playground-challenge-387.html">Pixie's Snippets Playground</a> - Everything except the base card and large panel are snippets.</div><div><a href="https://mynbus.blogspot.com/2020/10/nbus-challenge-19.html">Darnell's NBUS</a> - Never Before Used Schtuff - mine is the cocktail die set.</div><div><a href="http://timeoutchallenges.blogspot.com/2020/09/challenge-171.html">Time Out Challenges</a> - Inspired by words.</div><div><br /></div><div>I am very behind with commenting on your lovely blogs again, I am so sorry! I am pretty slow at most things - I haven't made one Christmas card yet and I am decorating wooden advent calendars for my two Granddaughters - you guessed it, I haven't started those either! I need the energy or a normal person instead of an ME/CFS sufferer! Sorry. I shouldn't moan! </div><div><br /></div><div>Anyway, I am loving the darker evenings, they are so cosy! I am a real autumn/winter/lover. Curled up on the sofa, under a blanket watching tv with a cuppa - lovely! I know how to party!</div><div><br /></div><div>Thank you again for visiting me. Take care and stay safe. Hugs Christine xxx </div>Craftychrishttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10609337677149787446noreply@blogger.com11
