What's on your Workdesk? Wednesday 161

Hello everyone! Its Wednesday again and what's so special about Wednesday? I hear you cry.  Well, its time to visit crafting desks across the world to see what going on.  To join in visit Julia's fabby blog you will be glad you did!

However, not much going on at my desk at the moment.

There are a couple of abstract cards I have made using Encaustic Art waxes - I just love messing around with these.  For anyone that isn't aware, it is painting with special waxes using an iron.  People achieve the most amazing artwork including landscapes using this medium.  I haven't really tried that yet, I am just happy doing abstracts.  To the left a brand new arrival through the post today, the new Spellbinders Holiday Tree die. I soooo love this and can't wait to start playing with it.  In the background to the left sitting on the lamp base is my WOYWW badge which I will be wearing with pride on Saturday at the Newbury Artstamps exhibition.  I will keep a look out for any other fellow WOYWWers.  I hope to see lots of you there! My friend Julie and I go every year and always have a brilliant time and buy lots of goodies.  I will be messing up my desk later today with some crafting.  Thank you so much for dropping by.  Take care.  Christine xx

Your cards are so pretty and it sounds like a really interesting process. I've never heard of encaustic art wax. Looks cool! Happy WOYWW! Tammy #106

Oh, wow, Chris, your cards look absolutely wonderful. I hope everyone enlarges the picture so they can see them properly. I have yet to try encaustic art ...
Thanks for all your lovely comments, and my Nan really enjoyed her day, as did we all.

Hi Christine, love your encaustic art ... when it is on C&C TV it's the one crafting programme I record so that the EM and I can sit down and watch together ... maybe one day we'll give it a try :)) Enjoy your day at Newbury ... I'm sure there's going to be a lot of WOYWWErs there. Happy WOYWW, Elizabeth x #85

Awesome looking neat and tidy desk. Love the encaustic cards. I haven't played with waxes yet. Sounds like Newbury is going to be flooded with badge wearing WOYWWers this weekend. Wish I was there instead of sitting in Montana. Thanks for commenting on my blog. Have a fun time this weekend. Vickie #36

Sorry i'm late, don't know where yesterday went, that's an un-healthly tidy desk, you need to mess it up a bit lol Not played with my encaustic wax in like for ever, like what you've done x

Hello and thank you for the warm welcome to WOYWW! Love your cat picture... (anyone with a cat picture anywhere on their blog instantly goes up a couple of notches in my estimation!!)
I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes a clean desk :) Not that I have anything against messy desks... just as long as it isn't mine! hee hee!
The encaustic art pictures look amazing. It's something I've never tried but you are tempting me!

Such a tidy desk Chris!

Loving your cards. I tried Encaustic Art Waxes a few years back but really didn’t get to grips with them at all, but you’re right, people make the most amazing landscapes with them.

Thanks for stopping by this week and……
Happy Crafting!
