What's on your Workdesk? Wednesday 195

Its very late on Wednesday but I have been busy today. One of the things I have been doing is making my husbands birthday card.  His birthday is on Tuesday.  Here is my desk from late afternoon.  I tried to post this earlier but Blogger wouldn't let me download the photo!

Your can see a couple of pictures of Miles Davis, some embossing I have done with an M-bossibilities folder from Spellbinders which is to the right of the picture.  The trumpet is from Tando Creative and I have coloured it with Distress stain.  I won all the packs you can see in the background from Tando's Blog a while ago.  I have put the card together now but won't be putting it on my Blog until I have given it to Darren.  As you may have guessed he likes music of all genres including Jazz and is a huge fan of Miles Davis, hence the card.  In the background, if you squint, you can just see my WOYWW badge.  Its ready for me to wear on Friday when I go to Make It craft show at Farnborough.  To join in with WOYWW please hop over to Julia's Fab Blog to join in.  This is a very short post as it's getting late.  Sorry I am behind with my visits to your blogs, will catch up tomorrow.  Thank you for stopping by, your visits and comments mean such a lot. Take care. Christine xx

Blues and jazz two of my favorite things. DH has a blues internet radio show he hosts every other Friday from 7-9cst on ShockNet Radio. Good music. Have your DH tune in sometime! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. Vickie #40

Hi Chris thanks for paying me a visit today. One of the (many) nice things about crafting is that you can give a card or gift that is tailor made for that person. I bet your hubby will be thrilled with your great creation.Love your button tree card too.
Happy art making

Hi Chris, you could never be later than me when it comes to visits - my pace is slow but my defense is that I'm working on the cataloguing my stamp collection which may not be massive but big enough to take a long time! Your music themed card for your DH is shaping up nicely - it's always easier to make a card when they have a definable interest. My DH plays keyboard so I often go for a music theme for him too. Being so late does mean that I spotted your encaustic art card - it is truly amazing. I think it's a fascinating technique and watch demos with open-mouthed admiration but have never tried it for myself. Hope you had a great weekend and that Monday is proving to be good too.
