Happy Mother's Day for Yesterday!

I meant to post this yesterday but the day ran away with me.  My Son, Daughter and Son-in-Law came to visit armed with cards, pressi's and a yummy Lemon Drizzle Cake made by my Son-in Law.  I had a lovely day - if you celebrate Mother's day, I hope you had a lovely day too.  Here is the card I made for my fabulous Mum-in-Law.

The photo doesn't really show the gold very well, sorry.  The stamp is from Inkylicious and the main image is stamped with gold pigment ink and embossed with gold embossing powder - it really shines in real life!  The image on the black is stamped with Versafine and embossed with clear powder and the sentiment is from a Marion Emberson clear stamp set.  The black and gold card and the adhesive stones are from my stash.  I added a little glitter to the centre of the poppies.

Its very cold today here in the uk - so, wherever you are, stay warm and have a nice day.  Thank you for visting me, I really appreciate it and I love reading your comments! Take care.  Christine xx

Hi Christine!

Happy belated Mother's Day. The cake your son-in-law made sounds yummy! Anything lemon AND cake sounds perfect!

Your card looks lovely. I think you guys are getting more snow in the U.K than we are here in New Mexico (at 7,000 feet)!

Thanks for visiting!

Hugs,
Kay

Your Mum-in-Law's card is beautiful, I love the gold embossing against the black - so effective and the little sparkly middles look wonderful on the poppies. Sounds like you had a wonderful day with your family, my family don't give me gifts any more - they know me so well and give me money to spend on crafts - I was a very happy bunny! Hugs, Anne x
