The main image on this card is the Clarity Flower Stem which is one of the New Designs Club stamps and I adore it! Its such a striking image and a gorgeous shape. The edging is done with another New Designs Club stamp - Round Tree.
I stamped the main image with black Archival and embossed it with clear embossing powder. The edging is stamped with Archival but not embossed. The backgrounds are made up of Salty Ocean, Picked Raspberry and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks which have been swiped on my craft sheet then the card dragged through, dried then dabbed in again, the colours are watered down a lot to give a soft look. I added a bit of stencilling then used the same DIs round the edges. A black mat and a black base card and it was done!
I would like to enter the following challenges:
Clarity Stamp Challenge - Nature
Scrapology - Anything Goes
Its definitely worth you having a peek at these fab challenge blogs, there is such fabulous stuff to see!
Thank you so much for your visit - its so cool that you popped by! Take care, Christine xxx

Darnell's NBUS Challenge No. 2
Over at the fabulous Darnell's blog its the second NBUS (Never Before Used Stuff) Challenge. I am a bit late entering, it finishes really shortly!
I have used the fabulous Jofy singles stamp - I just love it! Its brand new, never opened before. I stamped the images on inky backgrounds and embossed with clear powder. Then stamped again and cut out just the star in each colour and stuck them on the opposite colour background. I added a bit of extra colour round the edges of the stars and the frames with a slightly darker shade of Spectrum Noir Pencils followed by clear Wink of Stella just on the Stars. The Sentiment I have had for ages, not sure of the make but I am pretty sure I haven't used it before. A few little pearls and that's it!
These are the challenges I would like to enter:
Darnell's - NBUS
Stamping for Pleasure - Rudolph Day
Scrapology - September Card Challenge - Anything Goes
Please pop over and have a look at these fabulous blogs - they are all so cool!
Thank you so much for visiting - I appreciate it so much! Take care. Christine xxx

Guest DT Card for IndigoBlu
Recently I was lucky enough to win the IndigoBlu challenge - I was so pleased and even more pleased when I realised that part of the prize is to be Guest Designer for the new challenge which starts today! The challenge is to use a sketch, something I have never done before. You can join in the challenge and see the fab DT makes here. Its great fun! I missed the last one unfortunately, I will try not to do that again! You can win a fab prize of a choice of IndigoBlu stamps - the ones I chose are gorgeous and the quality is always awesome!
I used the amazingly fabulous IndigoBlu Blazing Poppies stamp but decided not to go with red. The backgrounds are achieved using Milled Lavender, Scattered Straw and Seedless Preserves Distress Inks, chicken wire sequin waste as a mask along with the Best Wishes and corner stamp from IndigoBlu Nottingham Lace. The swirl in the top left is from a mixed sheet of IndigoBlu stamps I bought at a show. The main image is painted with the same Distress Inks except for the leaves where I used a Promarker. The two larger butterflies are die cuts, the centres of the flowers are sequins with a little seed bead added. I coloured the ribbon with Seedless Preserves Distress Ink and water and added a dazzler to the centre which I coloured with a coordinating Promarker. The embossing on the black card is done with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. To add a bit of sparkle, the flowers and butterflies are painted with clear Wink of Stella.
Its a bit scary having my card on the IndigoBlu blog with the DT samples as theirs are always so awesome and professional! Its a real honour though - Thank you so much IndigoBlu!
Thank you so much to you too for visiting me! I appreciate it so much and love it when you leave me a comment. Have a lovely Sunday and take care! Christine xxx
