Flower Stem Silhouette

The main image on this card is the Clarity Flower Stem which is one of the New Designs Club stamps and I adore it!   Its such a striking image and a gorgeous shape. The edging is done with another New Designs Club stamp - Round Tree.

I stamped the main image with black Archival and embossed it with clear embossing powder. The edging is stamped with Archival but not embossed.  The backgrounds are made up of Salty Ocean, Picked Raspberry and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks which have been swiped on my craft sheet then the card dragged through, dried then dabbed in again, the colours are watered down a lot to give a soft look.  I added a bit of stencilling then used the same DIs round the edges.  A black mat and a black base card and it was done!

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Its definitely worth you having a peek at these fab challenge blogs, there is such fabulous stuff to see!

Beaut of a card Chris. Couple of my favorite colors! I managed to get a post in to WOYWW this week and hope to be able to continue to play now that fall is here and the garden and yard work is winding down. Have a great week and thanks for stopping by my desk earlier! Vickie #21

This is such a striking card! I really like it, quite the stunner. I love that the leaves around the border are taken from a tree stamp. That's some thinking outside the box for sure!
