Finished Card

Here is the finished card from Wednesday's desk.  I used H2Os for the background then spritzed with water and dabbed with kitchen roll.  I stamped the images with black Versafine using the Sheena Douglas, A Little Bit Sketchy - Lakeside Shore stamp set and embossed with WOW embossing powder Black Glint.  The sentiment is from a Hobby Art clear set.  The mat and the hearts are coloured the same way as the background and the heart is cut from a Cuttlebug die. I really enjoyed making this card and am going to use my H2Os a lot more.  They have been hiding in a drawer for ages and I had forgotten about them!   To the bottom right of the top heart you can see a little smudge of paint! Ho hum, I suppose its ok as its handmade?? xx

I love the stamp and you did an awesome job with your H20's...I keep forgetting about mine too but have enjoyed playing with them of late! Who cares about a smudge, your card turned out beautiful! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

Now when you say "kitchen roll" do you mean the ones that are in the bag on the counter? Whole wheat or sourdough? Just kidding, couldn't resist. Your card is very pretty and very inspiring since I, too, have H20s hiding in a drawer! TFS!

Wow thanks for showing the finished card is beautiful. Love the background and what a pretty stamp! I have H2O's in my drawer too - I used to use them all the time but now I have discovered Copics and Prismas they don't get a look in which is a shame because they do have a lovely gleam to them!! Did you manage it the other night?? Hugs Susan x

Wow this card turned out great! Well I ordered some distress inks in sunset type colours like I said I would :o) just waiting for them to arrive now, can't wait to have a go after seeing how great yours turned out, hope the distress inks work as nicely as your h2o's. x

Hi Chris,

This card is beautiful - heart smudge and all! Kind of like my upside down text..... hee hee. It's those little things that make hand made things special!

I've started cleaning out/organizing my craft supplies again. I'm hoping to find things amongst all the clutter (kind like you finding your H20s).

We got almost six inches of snow here last night. My lilacs had started blooming and now they are bent over with the weight of the snow.

Hugs,
Kay
