Hello and welcome to my blog - thank you so much for visiting me, I appreciate it so much! I hope you are having a lovely Easter weekend!
A Christmas card today:
There is lots of gold shine on the lovely (free with a magazine) backing paper but you can't see it in the photo. The poinsettia is made using a Creative Expressions die set cut from snippets of white card then while still in the die, I inked through with red Distress Ink and glued the layers together then to the panel. The sentiment was free with a magazine and stamped with red Versafine. I added gold Stickles to the centre of the poinsettia and to the sentiment for some sparkle and also some Sakura Clear Stardust pen to the red veins on the poinsettia and the letters of the sentiment for added glimmer. I wish it showed up better in the photo, sorry. I made two of these cards and two in a slightly different colourway but didn't finish in time to blog the different colour option.
I would like to enter the following challenges:
Scrappy Mo's March Rudolph Day's Challenge - Anything Christmas.

Thank you again for visiting me and have a fabulous weekend. Take care. Christine xxx

The beautiful poinsettia is a perfect match for that paper and I can imagine how beautiful it looks in real life. I never think to use papers that come with magazines, so well done you for using them and some snippets too! I hope you are both having a lovely Easter weekend. Big hugs my friend, Anne xxx
So rich and festive, Chris ... and such lovely layering of that delicate poinsettia! Wishing you a Happy and Blessed Easter! Hugs, Anita :)
Fabulous card Chris, very opulent!
I like this card. This is a pretty poinsettia with the red veins on the white flower.

We'll have to use our imaginations - which luckily we have - to "see" all the schparkle from the gold in your pretty poinsettia design, Chris! I love it!! Hugs, Darnell
Lovely, elegant card.
This card looks great here and after reading your post, it sounds like in has lots of shimmer and shine IRL.
Love the way you inked the poinsettia die cut aThanks for taking part in the March Rudolph Days Challenge.s that red veining looks so good.
And there have been a few days recently when one could believe that it is Christmas rather than April. Roll on the Spring weather! Nevertheless, you card is lovely, Chris. The poinsettia looks wonderful. And, you are just so organised! Jx
Hi Chris, what a lovely card indeed!.. shame isn’t it when gold etc doesn’t shine in photos, great work.
