Glitz and Glamour

This gorgeous image is by IndigoBlu and I got it free with a fab IndigoBlu set that came with the magazine Simply Cards and Papercraft - how cool is that!  The background is made by swiping Picked Raspberry, Salty Ocean and Squeezed Lemonade Distressed Inks on a heatproof mat and picking up the ink on the card.  I dried it with a heat gun then picked up the remaining ink and dried again then splashed water over the ink and dabbed with a piece of kitchen towel then dried completely.  The image was stamped with black Archival ink.  The edges were inked with the same Distress Inks and a touch of Black Soot then sequins, pearls and glitter were added.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

IndigoBlu - Glitz and Glamour
Buckwells - Anything Goes
Darnell's Blog - NBUS (New Stuff) Anything Goes

Thank you so much for visiting me, I really appreciate it and love it when you comment!  Take Care. Christine xxxx

That's really pretty. I like hearing the detailed steps of how you created the background. I really like how it came out. I'm still too nervous to try out these messy techniques though!
